Our farm consists of over 400 head of cattle and we utilize about 700 acres of pasture and farm land. The majority of the feed for our cattle is grown on the farm, with pasturing being the predominant feed source. In addition to processing our own beef, we also custom order for other farmers. We process wild game and carry small grocery items.
Our cattle are raised naturally without added hormones or antibiotics. The enjoy lush pastures, fresh water and plenty of sunshine.

When you buy beef from us you are not only dealing with the farmer but the butcher as well, for added convenience. You beef will be cut to your specifications and double wrapped to protect you investment.
We are also able to provide you with 100% grass fed beef at an affordable price. These beef are raised without artificial hormones,antibiotic vaccines, non-protein nitrogen or undue stress.

The Hepler family has been raising and selling beef for over 20 years. We expanded into the slaughtering and processing of our beef in 1995. In 1998 we moved our butcher shop to our present location in Nickleville, Pa.

Hepler Meats currently has two locations Emlenton and Cranberry.  The Emlenton meat processing is located at 5696 Route 38, in northwest PA just 8 miles from exit 45 on RT 80, 1.5 hours from either Pittsburgh or Erie. The Cranberry retail store outlet is located at 7150 Rt 322 in Cranberry, across from Sheetz.

Hepler Meats are dedicated to providing 100% grass fattened beef at an affordable price. We’ve been in the beef business for over 20 years and in the butchering business for 15 years. While we’ve always produced all natural beef fattened on grain, every year we have sold 100% grass fed beef to a few interested customers. Now we have dedicated an entire herd to sell as grass fed beef. We will have approximately forty head ready for slaughter beginning in mid-June to early July. We will only be offering the 100% grass fed beef at this time due to the dramatic decline in the quality of the pasture in late summer. The animals will all be under 24 months of age and should grade in the choice range, although leaner beef is available if requested. The beef are raised without artificial hormones, antibiotic vaccines, non protein nitrogen, or undue stress.
